FAQs

  • What does WisePractice Institute offer?

We provide continuing education, clinical supervision training, and professional development for licensed mental health professionals, including LPCs, LMFTs, LCSWs, psychologists, and other behavioral health providers.

Our signature 40-Hour Clinical Supervision Training is specifically designed to meet the educational requirements for Texas LPCs and LMFTs pursuing supervisor designation. LCSWs and licensed psychologists are also welcome to participate for continuing education and professional development; however, the training does not satisfy the Texas LCSW requirements for becoming a board-approved supervisor, and psychologists have separate requirements for demonstrating competence in supervision.

Because continuing education requirements vary by license and renewal cycle, participants are encouraged to review their licensing board's current rules to determine how WisePractice continuing education may apply toward their individual renewal requirements.

  • Who are your trainings for?

Our trainings are designed for current and aspiring clinical supervisors and fully licensed mental health professionals seeking high-quality continuing education that is relevant, practical, and ethically grounded.

While our signature 40-Hour Clinical Supervision Training is specifically designed for Texas LPCs and LMFTs pursuing supervisor designation, WisePractice also offers continuing education and professional development relevant to LCSWs, psychologists, and other behavioral health professionals.

  • Do your courses count for CE credit?

Many WisePractice trainings may be used for continuing education credit by Texas LPCs, LMFTs, LCSWs, and licensed psychologists, as well as other behavioral health professionals. CE requirements vary by profession, license, course, and jurisdiction, and some licensing boards place additional requirements on the type or source of continuing education provider.

Each course will clearly identify its intended audience and available continuing education documentation. Participants are responsible for confirming that a training meets the requirements of their individual licensing board and renewal cycle.

WisePractice provides attendance and completion verification, presenter credentials, participant evaluations, and certificates of completion in alignment with applicable continuing education requirements.

  • Will I receive a CE certificate?

Yes. Participants who attend the full live training or complete all required coursework and submit the required evaluation will receive a certificate of completion documenting their continuing education hours. Partial credit is not available.

As always, participants are responsible for confirming that the training meets the continuing education requirements of their individual licensing board.

  • Do you offer supervision training that meets board requirements?

Yes. Our 40-Hour Clinical Supervision Training is designed to meet Texas requirements for LPCs and LMFTs pursuing supervisor designation. The training may also be used by LCSWs, psychologists, and other mental health professionals for continuing education and professional development; however, it does not satisfy the training requirements for Texas LCSWs seeking board-approved supervisor status.

Licensing requirements can change, so participants should review their licensing board’s current rules to confirm eligibility and requirements.

  • What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept major credit cards and debit cards through our secure online payment platform.

  • Do you offer scholarships?

  • Can I cancel my registration and receive a refund?

We are unable to offer refunds for any reason — including non-attendance, scheduling conflicts, or cancellation. Please ensure you are able to attend or complete the course prior to registering.

  • What happens if I miss a live training/event?

If the training or event is recorded and offered as an on-demand course later, you may have the option to apply your registration toward that format (pending approval). However, CE eligibility and timing may vary. Contact us if you need support.

  • How do I access my course materials?

Coursework, slide decks, and downloadable resources will be provided via our course platform right here on our website or Google Drive, depending on the course format. You will receive clear access instructions via email upon registration.

  • Can I share the course materials with my colleagues?

No. All course materials are for individual use only. Redistribution, sharing, or reproducing our content — digitally or physically — is not permitted without written permission. To request group access or licensing, please contact us.
