About WisePractice Institute

Where Passion Meets Practice. Where Wisdom Leads the Way.

WisePractice Institute was born from a shared passion for ethical, relational, and transformative learning. Founded by long-time colleagues and friends Chelsea Fielder-Jenks and DeLinda Spain, WisePractice blends wisdom, experience, and heart to create continuing education that inspires mental health professionals to grow with intention and integrity.

Our Story

Nearly 15 years ago, a graduate student named Chelsea reached out to a seasoned clinician named DeLinda. Chelsea was seeking a practicum site and found herself welcomed into the Eating Disorder Treatment Center DeLinda had co-founded. From that moment, a profound professional relationship began to take root—one built on mentorship, mutual respect, and a shared vision for what effective, relational, and ethical clinical work could look like.

Through the years, Chelsea continued to seek DeLinda's guidance in individual and group consultation. What started as a student-supervisor dynamic evolved into a professional partnership grounded in complementary strengths and a shared calling to support and elevate fellow clinicians. The seeds of WisePractice Institute were sown in these years of collaboration—both women recognizing a need for high-quality supervision training that is not only evidence-based but deeply relational and rooted in lived clinical wisdom as well as the passion for the clinical work that they both share.
