WisePractice Equity Scholarship
Growing access to supervision training, one watering pail at a time
At WisePractice, we believe that access to high-quality, relational, and ethically grounded supervision training should never be determined by financial barriers. We also recognize the systemic inequities that have historically limited access to professional development for many clinicians.
Our Equity Scholarship Program is designed to make our trainings more accessible for Supervisors-in-Training and licensed supervisors from historically marginalized communities and/or those experiencing financial hardship.
How It Works
The Equity Scholarship operates much like a sliding scale, offering different levels of tuition support based on each applicant’s resources and circumstances. We use the image of watering pails to symbolize the different levels of support available — because every tree (and every supervisor) needs the right amount of nurturing to grow strong.
Our Priorities
We prioritize scholarships for applicants who:
Identify as part of historically marginalized communities (including but not limited to BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, people with disabilities, and those in rural/underserved areas)
Are first-generation college graduates or mental health professionals
Work primarily in nonprofit, low-resource, or high-need settings
Are experiencing financial hardship and identify most with the “right pail” in our Three Watering Pail analogy (see illustration on this page).

The Three Watering Pails
Left Pail — Full Contribution
Resources are abundant and overflowing.
This tier is for those with financial stability who can invest fully in their training/participation.
Paying at this level sustains our work and allows us to offer scholarships.
Middle Pail — Shared Support
A blend of access to resources and in need of some nurturing.
For those who can contribute part of the full tuition but would benefit from some financial assistance to make participation possible.
Right Pail — Full Scholarship
Resources are in need of nurturing.
For those with significant financial barriers and limited access to resources.
Paying at this level would not be possible without full scholarship support.
